  • Motivational Monday: Who Are You?

Who are you? It’s such a simple question, yet one that takes a lifetime to answer.

What makes you you? What makes you original, unique, and one-of-a-kind in a world full of copies? Maybe it’s your laugh, your creativity, your kindness, or your unstoppable drive. Maybe it’s your love for the outdoors, or the joy you find in quiet moments with family.

Do you live to work—or work so you can live? There’s no wrong answer, but it’s a question worth asking. Life isn’t meant to be all about schedules, deadlines, and to-do lists. It’s also about the things that light your soul on fire—crafts, sports, fishing, shopping (yes please!), music, or simply creating something new and beautiful.

The truth is, finding yourself isn’t a one-time thing—it’s a lifelong journey. You grow, change, and rediscover who you are with every new season of life. So take time to pause and reflect. Do something that fills your heart this week.

Because the more you embrace what makes you you, the more beautiful your journey becomes.

Be Wild. Be Original. Be You.

    Be You!
  •  Feel Good Friday

What makes you feel good? What puts a big smile on your face?

Are you smiling right now just thinking about it? Or is your list of happy things too long to count?

For me, love is what makes me happy.

The love from a caring parent for their precious child.

The love and unbreakable bond between grandparent and grandchild.

The love from a sweet puppy who anxiously awaits your arrival — or the cautiously curious love from a cat.

The love of a good friend who knows just when to call, what to say, and how to make you laugh when you need it most.

And of course, that tingly feeling of new love that makes your heart flutter.

But my favorite kind of love is old love — the kind that’s stood the test of time.

The love shared over many years between parent and child, or grandparent and grandchild.

In my life, I’m truly blessed to feel both new and old love every single day. My husband is my best friend — the one I can’t wait to tell something exciting to or share a fun secret with. He’s the best friend I always wanted… and to top it off, I get to be married to him!

That kind of love makes me smile so big my cheeks get sore. I still feel like a giddy teenager when he tells me I look beautiful.

This is my happy place — my reason to smile.

    How about you?

Sometimes, just thinking about something that makes you happy can turn your whole day around. Try it out — and I hope you have a Feel Good Friday!

  • Wildlife Wednesday- The Beauty Beyond the Owl

Over a week ago, a majestic owl floated silently above me — a breathtaking sight that left me in awe. From that moment on, I made it my mission to capture this elusive beauty with my camera. Every evening since, I’ve been out at sunset, waiting… watching… hoping.

For the first few days, my focus was skyward. I ignored everything else, determined that the owl would reappear. But after four sunsets came and went, something shifted. I lowered my camera, took my eyes off the sky, and started to really see what was happening all around me.

I noticed the cardinals at the birdbath — how tiny drops of water cascade from their beaks as they sip and splash. I turned it into a little “capture the shot” game with my Nikon — and I got it! Then came the bunnies — yes, bunnies — locked in a territorial battle that looked more like a dance, hopping into the air until one finally gave up.

A mischievous squirrel also made an appearance, fiercely protecting his stash of peanuts from a bold cardinal thief. You’ve never seen a more determined little guardian! The titmouse bird has become a frequent visitor, and I even learned that female deer aren’t always the gentlest with their young.

And just when I thought the day couldn’t get any more magical, the evening ended with a swirl of monarch butterflies dancing through the sunset — a perfect ending to a week of rediscovery.

All these small, beautiful moments were happening right in front of me — and I would have missed them if I’d kept waiting for the owl.

Sometimes, the thing we’re searching for doesn’t appear when we expect it to. But if we take a moment to look around, to slow down and truly observe, we’ll find beauty in the unexpected.

Take time to enjoy life’s simple wonders. Don’t let one distraction keep you from seeing the magic that’s already all around you.

  • Motivational Monday: What Drives You?

    Motivational Monday: What Drives You?

    What motivates you?
Is it success, financial security, or that next big promotion?
Or maybe it’s something more personal — your family, your spouse, your kids, your parents.
Or maybe… it’s your own inner drive to be your best.

The truth is, we’re all motivated by something different. And that motivation plays a huge role in how successful we are in reaching our goals.

Here’s the thing though — your primary motivation has to be for you.
And that’s not selfish. It’s honest.

    You’ve probably heard this before:
You’ll never lose weight unless you really want to do it for yourself.
You can’t quit smoking, drinking, or any bad habit unless the decision comes from within.

That doesn’t mean others can’t inspire your motivation — they absolutely can. The people in your life often help spark it. But holding onto that spark? That’s on you.

    So here’s a question:
Have you ever caught yourself wishing away the week?
Counting down to Friday just to “get through” another work week?

Those five days you’ve wished away add up — fast.
That’s 260 days each year spent wishing time away.
In just three years, you’ve wished away more than TWO years of your life.

    Think about that.
Life is already short. Why make it shorter by wishing it away?

    Let’s flip the script.
    Be wild about life.
    Go on that adventure.
Find something — even something small — that makes you look forward to Mondays.

You deserve a life you don’t want to fast-forward through.

So here’s your challenge this week:
Find your “why.” Hold onto it.
And be wild about every single day you get.
